During her addressing at a rally within the framework of the Corporación Andina de Fomento association document signing, the President announced that "unemployment dropped to 7.9 percent during the second trimester of 2010." These figures record a significant difference to the first trimester, which stood at 8.8 percent, having experienced a 0.4 percent drop. According to the Head of State's speech, industrial activity has grown 9.8 percent.

President Cristina Fernández received this afternoon "Las Leonas", Argentina's national women's field hockey team, after winning the Champions Trophy in England.

After the meeting, which took place at the Women's Hall of Government House, the President said she was "very pleased" for the victory of "Las Leonas", whom she described as "an example for Argentines."
